Return/Exchange

We hope that you love your items from Home in the Hills. But if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return undamaged,  and unused item(s) with the original or gift receipt for store credit within a 30-day timeline from when you received your order. 

At this time, exchanges can only be processed as returns.

 

ONLINE PURCHASE

Purchases made online can be returned within 30 days from when the item was purchased.

  • Gift receipts will be required for all gift returns.
  • Returns may be refused at management's discretion (online).
  • Any taxes charged will be included with your store credit in accordance with state laws. Shipping costs on returns are the responsibility of the customer or gift recipient.

 

The following items are final sale and do not qualify for a return: Discounted and promotional items, gift wrapping, personalized candles, customized candles. Returns may be refused at management's discretion.

 

After receipt of your return, we will refund the purchase amount as store credit. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for this request to be processed. You will receive an email including your gift card code, issued as store credit.

 

Home in the Hills  takes great care to package your items to ensure they arrive safely. Please kindly pack fragile items with the protective materials that you received with your package. Please also note that items must arrive at Home in the Hills as undamaged and unused or they will not be eligible for a return. All shipping costs are non-refundable.

 

DAMAGED AND DEFECTIVE ITEMS

As with all handmade items, variations will occur. Damaged or defective items should be reported to us within 10 days of receipt. Visual proof of damaged items will be required.

 

Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment for the cost of the product, plus taxes. Or you will be shipped replacement items if in stock.

 

Please contact us before mailing the products. 

RETURN TO SENDER 

Please note that occasionally, we receive Return to Sender packages in our Fulfillment Center due to reasons including an incorrect mailing address, an addressee not present at the address upon delivery after moving or an unknown reason, mail unclaimed, or mail refused by the recipient at the time of delivery. In the event that a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will issue a full refund with shipping charges included and do our best to notify you via email. We are not able to reship these items and encourage you to please place a new order on our site.
